Jason Edwards, MD, is a board-certified radiation oncologist with Hematology & Oncology Associates at St. Luke's. He earned his PhD in cellular and integrative physiology at Indiana University, his medical degree at the University of Missouri and completed his surgical internship and radiation oncology residency at the University of Kentucky’s Chandler Medical Center. Dr. Edwards treats patients in the Center for Cancer Care at St. Luke's.  His expertise is focused on integrating sophisticated technology into successful treatments for cancer patients. He is trained and has special interest in high dose rate (HDR) and low dose rate (LDR) GYN brachytherapy, intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) and image guided radiation therapy (IGRT). Dr. Edwards has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, is a co-author of multiple chapters in various oncology texts, has secured funding for a prospective trial for the treatment of patients with oligometastasis and has been invited to give numerous lectures and presentations at professional meetings in the United States.
