Dr. Emily Smitherman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics’ division of Pediatric Rheumatology. She received her MD from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and a Master of Science in Clinical and Translational Research from the University of Cincinnati. She completed her Pediatric Residency at Duke University Medical Center and her Pediatric Rheumatology fellowship training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She is board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Rheumatology.
